The employer opportunity

A shared network could give smaller and midsize hospitality employers a way to tell an employee, "There is somewhere you can turn," without requiring the company to create a foundation, review private hardship documents or administer individual grants.

Pilot design questions

  • Approximate eligible employee population and operating footprint.
  • Payroll-provider capabilities and voluntary deduction requirements.
  • Potential employer-match structure and internal approval process.
  • Employee communications, privacy boundaries and employment verification.
  • Pilot timing, success measures and responsible off-ramp terms.

What HRN would be responsible for

  • Independent charitable and grant-administration structure.
  • Published eligibility framework and conflict controls.
  • Private application, verification and review processes.
  • Fund accounting, reporting and approved employee communications.
  • Clear separation between employers and individual grant decisions.

Nonbinding interest

An employer may document interest in continued design discussions and a future pilot, subject to legal review, internal approval, final program terms and selection of a qualified charitable administrator.
